Today, I was looking online for recipes to cook for dinner...

I saw a quiche recipe and I thought, "I've got chickens. I've got way too many eggs in my fridge. I'm gonna make this quiche!"

Then I thought, this recipe only uses 4 eggs. I need to double this recipe...

So, I doubled everything and added chunks of ham. Here's the recipe and a pic of my final result. It was AWESOME, my whole family loved it, and now I have left overs for tomorrow!

It was supposed to bake in a 9 inch round pie pan.

But, I doubled the recipe and baked it in a 14 inch long, deep dish, glass casserole dish.

    It all fit perfectly...

Man that looks like it's sitting right in front of me and I can smell it as it cools down. Awesome looking dish.

If we ever have a meetup near Pittsboro, I can make one (or three) ...

But my real specialty is baking pies... I usually make my grandmother's special pecan pie recipe. But, in the last 3 years, I have been making fruit pies with fancy crusts... Here are some Star Wars themed fruit pies I have made...

Looks good. Now learn to make a good fritatta and you’ll be even happier.

    I'm a Star Wars nerd... That doesn't mean I'm a good cook.

Utilitarian is awesome. It's probably better to use your tongue than your eyes. Put the food on your tongue it tastes GOOD! Put the food on your eyes and it BURNS!

I didn’t even know that was Star Wars stuff. Guess we can’t be friends. In the spirit of the times, pistols as dawn?:p

To hell with pistols... I'd rather you teach me about utilitarian cooking, and I'll teach you about Star Wars...

At the least, we get to drink beer and watch movies.

And then we get to chow down on ugly (but tasty) food!

Sounds like you guys are trying to set up a Netflix and chill. My grandma made a great quiche. She would have quiche or oyster stew waiting for us when we came back from a hunt with a hot pot of coffee.
