Saw this post on Reddit. Comments say the grip is probably for 922r compliance or something but who knows. Makes sense since they import a bunch of other guns from Croatia like the XD series.

This is the one time my pants are staying loose. No thanks. Oh and why do you need more guns, the highpoint is just fine

If the French adopted it, a semi-auto version would be cool (I always wanted a semi FAMAS). But it's made in Croatia and no military uses it - no thanks.

It is the main service rifle for the Croatian Armed Forces. It's also used by a few other nations' militaries and federal police forces.

I was able to eliminate this from the "maybe" list watching one video. I can't change a magazine at my range because it requires tipping the barrel over the berm.

If it's around 1K, I will get one.
that was what i thought too. that 2k msrp is a lot higher than i want to pay for a plastic rifle that is using a LOT of parts already in mass production for a couple militaries...

Interesting … but again parts for ARs are pretty much interchangeable (same with AKs) and this VHS format will likely be proprietary stuff for most all it’s parts and I just don’t want to be in the Beta group for testing and deal with finding stuff at likely higher prices. Good thing is it does take standard AR mags so no $40-50 special mags required.

The more I look, the more I wonder, why the heck did they tilt the grip this way? Its not like that on the orginal model. It just looks *wrong* on so many levels.

They stuck standard type AR grip on it without looking at the angle. There will be a proper one offered in the future … at twice the price of an AR one.

It's priced right along the AUG and x95, and 60% more than the keltec RDB.

If you wanted an awkwardly controlled rifle with questionable accuracy and no parts compatibility with anything but also military grade, then it's a solid 3rd choice in the game. The RDB isn't all that robust (I have one now, and had an x95, you can tell the differences in them easily that justifies the x95's higher price point).

SA is a import marking company, always have been. So this is right up their M.O.

Yes, this is true. But back in the good old days when all they sold were 1911s and M1As, it seemed like their QC was tighter and their customer service was better. Bigger ain't always better.
