When I was back home (KS) a couple weeks ago, I was overjoyed to see big ol' fox squirrels all over the place. Even the rare greys out there are pretty beefy.

Dad (90 YO) lives in SC, near Hilton Head. Every time I visit (quarterly), he says it's, squirrel time. We go out to his deck, he sips his bourbon, I shoot the Gamo pellet gun, and we talk. Mom comes out with Italian cheese and meat plates. Wonderful time and will be great memories.
He doesn't hunt (only fired artillery in Korea) - he acts as a 'spotter' pointing the squirrels out to me. I think he enjoys it more than I do. Mom loves that her boy is home - typical Italian mom.
