Stainless or Tungsten?

I bought several solid guide rods years ago from a friend that made them in his own machine shop. He offered them in Stainless and Tungsten steel. I think I bought the Tungsten rods but it's been so long ago I can't remember.

Is there a way to them apart visually? I have one for every classic P series Sig I own. They are fairly heavy just can't remember what they were made from.

If you can scratch them with a file they are steel, if not then probably carbide.

Tung will weigh more then SS, so check the the measurements (length & OD). If they match in length and OD, then the one that weighs more is Tung
