I have the two factor ID thing set up, so whenever I log in I need to go to my email account for the number sent to me a the second factor.

I usually log in with the 30 day option. But last week when my last log in time was up, I chose the stay logged in on all the time on this device option (my phone).

Yet every day since then, I end up having to log in again. Sunday, I think, I had to log in twice the range day. It's not letting me stay logged in like it should.

Anybody else have this issue?

At work I use the 30 day option with no problems the whole month.

But seriously. I always re-up my security clearance-clarence on the desktop. No issues.

Yeah. There’s been a couple times I had to log in multiple times in a matter of a couple hours. It always resolved itself after a few logins.

Cursing with every keystroke seemed to help.

I was hoping for this, but I'm approaching a week with this issue. I don't mind the two factor log in, as many are vanilla with what happened to me a few months ago, but this is starting to get annoying.

Still... I'll keep trying a while longer.

Do you have private browsing enabled by default on your phone? If yes, you'll have to log in every time.

No, definitely not.

I have no clue how to help. I’m logged in all the time. Couldn’t tell you my password if my life depended on it.
I felt exactly the same way as you. I logged in and stayed logged in on my phone for 2 or 3 years until, one morning, a couple weeks ago, my phone started blowing up because some douche hacked my account.

You should update your password and do enable Multi Factor on your account.

So many people have been hacked on this forum in the last year. I serious laughed at those people and thought it would never happen to me.

Well it did...

It's only a matter of time before it could happen to you too.

Why wait and take the chance?

@RetiredUSNChief its because you’re connecting from different ip addresses in a very short window. For example yesterday there were 5 different ip addresses and a lot on Wednesday.

That helps.

The work IP address may shift around during nominal use, because NNPI servers are located who-know-were-all.

Last night when I was on my phone, I shifted from Verizon data to WiFi. Right after that, I had to log back in, so I suspected this might have been the cause.

But doesn't the side recognize the device itself?

It does but if you're browsing in private mode, have popup blocker, or have cookies blocked then it wont recognize the device. Same thing if your browser clears everything on close.

I don't browse in private mode. No pop-up blocker, and no cookies blocked. I clear everything every few weeks as part of my general phone maintenance, but that's it.

Let's see how it goes throughout the weekend. I just signed in for the second time today on my phone since getting off work this afternoon.

OK, it's Sunday now and I can say this is officially getting to be ridiculously annoying trying the stay-logged-in-on-this-device-all-the-time feature.

I haven't been on any other device except my phone since I got off work Friday afternoon and I've had to log back in several times so far. And I haven't even tried shifting to WiFi on my phone...just stayed with my normal Verizon service.

Grrr...

AGAIN!
What browser are you running? And plug-ins? Something is blocking your login cookie or it’s being wiped when you close the browser.

I've got third party cookies blocked in Incognito, according to my cookie settings, andScreenshot_20220116-173148_Chrome.jpg that's it.

The cookie setting for Incognito shouldn't matter for normal Chrome use. And I don't use Incognito anyway.

Add site exemption and then add this site. Could you try another browser to see if it does the same thing.

Well... but Chrome and Android browsers logged out as of this morning.

Logged back into Chrome, went to me email to get the authentication code, and found TWENTY-FIVE EMAILS FROM CFF with authentication codes all date/time stamped for the same time.

Every. One. A. Different. Code.

I picked the latest to log in with.

WTF, man?
