Stoeger STR-9 (full size)

Well, I haven't shot a pistol in years so I won't have an in depth review.

Purchased this last year for $199 plus a $25 MIR. What a deal! Only issue is the magazines are little pricey, but not a huge deal.

To my understanding, this just a generic glock 17. I've overheard from a few random people that they like it.

Out of the box, put about 50 rounds through it and it shot great! I'm thoroughly impressed. Felt good. No feeding or extracting issues. Shooting cheap/crap/basic ammo. The only thing I didn't like are the sights. Wish the white dots were a little smaller. For some reason I was shooting a little to the left and low, but again, I rarely shoot. 99,9% chance that's a "me" problem. Also, the trigger is the safety also. The trigger felt ok, but it obviously won't compare with the nice pistols.

Just felt like a solid, simple gun. Not sure what the price is now, but if you can get a deal like I got, jump on it. Don't think this is an overly popular gun, so maybe this will help some people that are unsure.

I have the str-9c optics ready (225.00 with a 50.00 rebate= 175.00) and have around 2000 rounds through it and not one failure of any kink(all kinds of ammo). great gun for budget-minded people

My Son-in-Law is on a serious budget have 3 money sucking kids at home. Or I guess my grandkids. Lol. I remember not having money because of kids in the house too. And we didn't have this moron in the White House that he has to jack up the price on every single thing. But I digress. This was his first pistol. When he got it, we feed it every thing. Ball ammo and hollow points. Ran great. Super dry out of the box tho. Like they can't find oil in Turkey or something.

Long story short here...this gun is highly underrated. If I didn't have 5 9mms in the safe already, I would gun brick it for that price.
