Street corner beggars

Outside of the charities I have and still donate to, I won't give anyone any money. If they tell me they're hungry, I'll buy them a meal.

My neighbor 3 houses down is a street corner beggar. You'll see him off the ramp for Efland most afternoons, holding a sign that says "homless vet, need food" or some such nonsense. Each afternoon, he walks back to the gas station, spends the money on lottery tickets and booze, then drives home to his house.
