If you're a country music fan, you'll probably like Tommy Cox.

Tommy Cox, Cold War submarine veteran, served back in the 60s. He was a "spook", apparently. Think "intelligence".

Remember the book "Blind Man's Bluff"? Well, that title came from Tommy's sing "Ballad of Whitey Mack".

This is the song that first introduced me to Tommy Cox, back in the early 90s: Big Black Submarine.



Scorpion, a tribute to the loss of the SSN-589, USS Scorpion:

 
Interesting tune from Thomas Dolby (of "Blinded Me with Science" fame). Apparently he wrote the song in reference to the UK boat P48 which was lost with all hands during WWII including his uncle.
