I was shooting some of the CCI subsonic ammo through my new FVSR over the weekend and we were using a friends Form 1 .22 suppressor.

We had a couple baffle strikes at the end of the can and a strike on the endcap as well. Bore ID is .270 on baffles and endcap so I'm wondering if this ammo is susceptible to tumbling or if it was simply a poor alignment from his manufacturing process.

I’ve not had any issues with it in my Ruger American Rimfire, Glock 44, or Ruger 22/45. Other than it’s not 100% on cycling the pistols.

I’ve shoot mostly CCI out of my FVSR w SS Sparrow, who knows how much CCI SV and probably around 500 Quiet which is slow as heck. Never any issues with baffle strikes.

I’d check the alignment on his can.

no issues here at all with CCI. I no longer have an FVSR, but I ran a boat load of rounds through my Specter II without issue.

Same here. Shot a bunch of CCI quiet out of a FVSR with DA Mask with no issues. Also shot out of plenty of other guns but most are semi and will not cycle well. Preferred is SV for plinking or killing squirrels.

I don’t know very much about F1 cans, but isn’t the tube the “registered” part? Can be just make some new baffles and end cap without jumping through a bunch or hoops, or no?

Legally…no.

Ah, I did not realize that. End cap and baffles? I assume the end cap could be replaced hassle free? Rugged just mailed me one no questions asked after I had a strike

Nothing. They’re all considered silencer parts. Major difference between a manufacturer and a maker.

I have shot a bunch of cci quiet out of my fvsr. had 2 different cans on it, no problems with either

strange that you are allowed to replace consumable parts like wipes but not other parts

Might want to inspect the thread job on the FVSR also. Some of them were not concentric to the bore, poor QC.
FWIW, I would be surprised if it was the ammo.

Shoot some without the can to see if the ammo tumbles, but it never has for me from my fvsr.
