Has anyone ever done this. I have a V53 SBR. Is the barrel just to short for a suppressor to do any good?
Not my pic below but mine looks just like this one.

It'll sound like any other short barrel 223....loud. You can muffle the muzzle.blast but not the sonic Crack and 223 has a very sharp sonic crack. Adding a can takes the edge off of it but in some cases it's still not hearing safe.

It'll eliminate the muzzle blast which IMO makes shooting just about anything more enjoyable even if it's not hearing safe. Your neighbors on the range will thank you.

You need a Suppressor warrantied for sub 10" barrels (I believe the V53 is 9")

-SiCo Saker
-Rugged Surge & Razor
-SF Socom SB2
-Dead Air Sandman series
-Liberty Triumph

Im sure there are others

I'm not sure there's ever a situation where the answer to that question is "yes". It always helps to knock down the blast.

Roller lockers are not an ideal gun to suppresses. Changing the locking piece to increase the dwell time, (keep bolt closed longer), lower grain bullets and
using a low back pressure suppressor would give the best shooting experience.

You guys have helped me learn a lot. My next suppressor may be a rifle version but not for the V53. Any knock down of the blast is always good but I do not think the benefit is equal to the results.
