So I'm sure this is not a new idea. The original idea was to buy a Ruger 10/22 takedown and a Charger takedown. Form 1 the 10/22 and once back put the charger barrel on it. Then I got to thinking and looking around.
I didn't see any good folding stocks for the takedown 10/22 but I did find this:
Figured instead of buying two guns to do the swap just buy this; form 1 it; put a picitinny folding stock on the back and call it done with a suppressor down the road. Plan solved
Of course then mind said why not buy a Kidd receiver (form 1 that for options down the road); track down an folding takedown stock (that I don't know if any even exist) and look for a short integrally suppressed takedown barrel for the ultimate in small, quiet packability.
Anyone done anything similar or have any ideas?
