I think that I am falling into that hole.

Really getting interested in suppressors. Would like one for 2o caliber, 9 mm and 30 calibers.

Is there such a suppressor that I can use the same can for 22 pistols and rifles including an AR.

Simply stated, is there a can that will work on a pistol and rifle platform?

In 30 caliber cans, how effective with it be if used on a 6.5 rifle?

Looking for a ladder or rope to help me out of the hole.

Are you referring to 22LR and .223 when you say “22 pistols and rifles including an AR”?

There are rimfire cans that work just fine on pistols and rifles. But if you’re talking .223/.308 and 9/40/45 pistols, then your number of options drops WAY down.

30 cal cans are fine for 6.5. LOTS of people use 30 cal cans for everything from 5.56 to 7.62.

I think you are asking about a single can for everything.

Basically, no.

Rimfire cans have to be cleanable, which mean disassembly, and centerfire rifle cans are normally welded together for strength.

Centerfire cans are also way too long and heavy for rimfire pistols, and overkill for rifles too.

I think most people end up with a 30 cal can for rifles, a 45 (or whatever) for pistols, and a rimfire can.
