I cam almost hear The Fall Guy theme when I see that truck. 12mpg would be generous, you know that you would want to hear that engine everytime you put your foot on the gas.

Thats a play toy and not a main ride now days. I remember how rough those things ride too. 20 miles feels like 60.

Not a daily driver and likely quite a bit of “unopened” work. Rust repair, drivetrain (especially if geometries were not set correctly with the lift, suspension refresh/update, brakes (especially if you want an upgrade) … then body works and paint. You‘re could be looking at another $5k in parts before you even address any engine work. As a camp/hunting truck to supplement your daily driver … hell yeah but swapping it for your DD … nope.

Strap a set of Hooker headers on that bad boy(if they still make'm) and that 12 mpg will go to 18-19 mpg.
