testing one of the hexmag G17 mags (it failed.... so we're trying some other brands)

You know, mecgar makes good mags as an oem for better guns than glock
just sayin...

I had forgotten about this thread. I got a couple ETS mags. I put 30 into the .40 glock22 mag I have, and the cartridges were loose and rattly at the bottom once they got to around #25. Not sure what that's about, but I'll probably not be buying more except as range toys.

Perhaps you should stick to those better guns and mags to avoid the whole issue?
I'm allowed to dislike them but still respect them. glocks work well and have their place. right now one of those places is in my trunk with a few loaded mags - just in case. Kind of like last call at the bar - sometimes you gotta go with the old standby because it will do the trick. And if somehow my trunk gets broken in to and my lockbox gets smashed open... I'm only out by one easily replaceable used glock.

Ran the test mags in my sub2k while testing the optic (as seen in another thread). Worked just fine... but I was using brass cased reloads and not my usual steel case stuff.

It's rapidly becoming apparent, while not "just as good" these are likely "good enough" for range/practice use and might let you save the real OEM mags for the serious times.
