There’s a massive motorcycle forum where I practice my internet smartassery (still operating in the Stone-Age on VBulletin). After a period of time, hours maybe, you can’t edit your own thread, or posts in other threads. I think our PM’s are like that.

Anyway, at least here if you post a thread and say something exponentially stupid and moronic you can go back and edit the contents of that post, as well as the thread title to something more benign, like, “YES, I’M AN IDIOT ".

Been there, done that, got the tee shirt.
