The Enigma concealment system from PHLSTER

I remember thinking this was super cool when it first hit the market, then I completely forgot about it 🤣.

Anyone actually tried one of these out?

I am considering ordering one. I'm curious, plus I'd like to see if it would work for my wife. I have a few pairs of pants that are drawstring jiu jitsu style with pockets... they are really comfy, but don't look like pajamas, and are made of durable material (like a thick canvas). I just can't carry in them. lol. I'd like to hear anyone's firsthand experience with the Enigma.

Looking at how floppy that belt is, what stops the holster rising with the gun when you draw?

I have a couple nurse/doctor type friends who often have asked me about holster options, and really didnt have any decent ones. This might be an option. Other than belly bands.

There's a thigh strap also. I've never used one but primary and secondary ranted about it for what seemed like hours of podcasts when the product dropped.

Ah, guess I'd have seen that if the website would play ball lol

I have one with a 43/43x holster. It feels to me like a good product. It fills a niche that other holsters don't. My favorite thing about it is that it works under gym shorts or swim trunks. No belt required.

It has a lot of adjustability. If you take the time to get it set up it's a pretty neat system. The "leg leash" is very thin and you really don't notice it after a little wile.

I don't use mine very often but it was one of the most expensive holster setups I've ever bought and I don't regret buying it.

I should have added that I have a hernia and a gut. Both prevent me from appendix carrying.

With the enigma I can "deep conceal" at 1 o'clock with the gun all the way below my belt line. It's not in a position where I can access it lightning fast but what I can do is bend or sit without feeling like I need a trip to the ER.

My girlfriend likes it a lot and immediately said "that would be a great holster for women"

Maybe it’s just me. and I may be missing something here but how can they call this a concealable holster
with that “ crotch string” thing? I mean it’s like here’s a thing that kinda, sorta’ works but not really so
we added this loop …just in case! 🥴

The crotch string is meant to go beneath your outerwear.

I think you’re missing the entire point. You don’t wear that on the outside if your clothes….

Most of the reviews I've watched are women who use them. It disappears on their body when a loose top or dress or whatever is over it. Still probably better than those holsters that attach to the center part of your bra.

"Belt" is loose so the holster will hang down below your natural belt line. Thigh strap is to ensure your draw is consistent.

I have a Samsung s22+ and the website loads for me on 4g.

Website was slowing down Firefox browser on desktop.

I'd like to give one a try but I have a drawer full of attempts. I have owned (for several years) a few Thunderwear holsters and always use one if wearing the appropriate clothes (exercise mainly) and they are great. Had a group of guys try to arm rob me on a bike trail in St. Pete and it prompted me to look into it. https://www.thunderwear.com/

This website is amazing.

Lived in FL in the 2000's and liked to ride my bike after (or before) work for exercise - lived on the Pinellas Trail. They had finally opened the section to go to downtown St. Pete so one evening I thought I'd give it a try. Riding through an industrial area close to the Tropicana Field there was a group of maybe 10 - 12 guys across the barrier hitting a crack pipe. They yelled at me and 2 of them rolled across the barrier and pulled a semi auto on me. I rode a recumbent bike and if you ever saw the Benny Hill intro where he rode the tricycle (to Yakkity Sax) - that's what I looked like. I got away and thought I'd for sure find some cops in downtown St. Pete - but none. Finally rode to the Sheriffs office and they said they were probably gone and did nothing. I've carried when exercising ever since. I also rode that same stretch several more times (late) to see if I'd ever run into the bastards.

Sometimes, I wanna wear comfy pants, and have my pistol. But yeah, it’s a niche market.
I’ve actually just worn my Fat Boy belt with gym shorts and a t-shirt a couple times, with my normal OWB holster. No belt loops, no problem. Not gonna win any fashion awards, but nobody sees it anyway. 😎

I have one and have been wearing it since May 2021. I think I was one of the first people to get a light-bearing Engima. Why did I want one? Well, I don't have a colon(if you listen to the Woody & Wilcox radio show, I'm Colonless Jason -- my claim to fame :) ) and I am in the bathroom a lot more than you colon-enabled people. I didn't like removing my holster and placing it off-body while I conducted my business. Also, I carry my gun lower in my waistband than what is recommended by the experts(when I ordered my JM Custom Kydex holster, I added extra holes so it would ride low).

Pros - infinite adjustability for appendix carry.
Cons - infinite adjustability for appendix carry. :)

Somedays I can barely tell it's there, other days it's more noticeable but that is the case with any holster. I did upgrade to the sport belt and it helped a lot. The leg leash keeps the holster from riding up in an "emergency" draw. I can practice drawing all day without the leg leash secured and the Engima won't ride up. Under stress, grabbing it quickly, with an adrenaline dump, then your holster may ride up and cause a misdraw. The leg leash is important.

Any questions about it, ask away. I'll answer the best I can. It's a great system and I'm glad I have it.

Maybe not all of them but it is a really versatile chassis system. I think most people who are invested in concealed carry already have a holster that would work.

Also the magnetic belt buckle thingy is freaking awesome. I've bought a few replacements to use on other stuff.

I’m a holster junky…probably be ordering this to try

So you can use this system with any kydex shell?

Not just ones from phlster?
They mount to where the wing on an appendix holster would be. If you don't have a wing then some through bolts on the kydex holster below the light rail Infront of the trigger guard should work.
