If you all know of some good North Carolina based firearm or tactical gear companies that you think would be good sponsors, let me know. So far I've found mostly out of state sponsors more willing to support the race with prizes.
I just signed up. Now I need to get better about working on my cardio.
Lol. I just have to make up for my terrible shooting with as much running as possible.I will not break any land speed records. But i will finsh the match safely. Lol
Not gonna make it. How often do y'all do these? Need to get on the calendar for another.
Next one will probably be Fall/Winter
I was advised not to. I've been looking forward to this for months now, and I'll have this as well as my vacation last week ruined by my "good knee" being hurt.If you rest for the next two and a half weeks, could you walk the course? If not just send an email to [email protected] and I'll refund your ticket.
After my trial run of the stages, I've tweaked the minimum round count to 35 rifle, 26 pistol

I did a full dress rehearsal this morning. I found some glaring gear issues! One of my pistol mag pouches broke mid-run. I was also unhappy with my pistol holster slapping me in the hip the whole time. On the plus side, my battle belt and rifle sling worked great.
What are you other guys planning to use for pistol holsters and mag pouches?
I also use a Safariland holster. I have it with the two inch drop panel off my battle belt and it stays put nicely. I don't like drop legs, they always seem to bang around and if I mounted the holster straight to the belt it would ride to high and make for a more difficult draw. The 2 inch drop is perfect.
Expect to find some other glaring issue when you are doing the race. That's why these are so great!
I ran really early the other morning in our neighborhood with all my gear and belt (minus the rifle) and a track jacket over everything.
Pretty sure I looked like the Michelin Man with all those extra bulges.

Thats why i am glad to be part of a private gun club. I have done a few shakeout runs "I am slow as crap" btw, but i got the chance to run in full kit and shoot under "stress".
Hey John....I’m thinking of making the trip over. Just how outta shape are you? Wanna buddy up and drag each other along?
