The new M&P 15-22

That is the most incredible place I've ever patronized😍

I am so happy I have to make it an event to go that way🤣 Found it when we were building a new forest service maintenance shop near mars hill several years ago.

That place is SO awesome. From breakfast to H&H double rifles. They have it. Good people run it and the prices are fair.

I'd never have a dollar to my name if they were in my area.
I’ve been in there several times a year for 20 plus years. Never a special trip, but it is rare that I don’t stop in.

Snagged a Plinker Tactical aluminum charging handle on my rounds this morning.

And I'm waiting for FEDEX to deliver my long awaited parts.....

I have a 15-22 that I and my son got (at Academy) for his kids so they could use it when they visit us. They haven't got to use it much, but I have. Since I'm the one that uses it most, I put two things on it: (1) a cheesy left-over 3-10x Amazon Chinese scope (which I leave on 6x), and (2) a "click on" plastic cheek riser. Otherwise it's stock. It's great on yard pests, like squirrels, at various distances; and it's a hoot as a plinker. It will fire CCI "Quiet-22" ammo, but they won't cycle the action. I haven't tried it with the "Quiet-22 Auto" version, but I expect it would work just fine. I just ordered some.

Imma give the "Quite-22 Auto" a look........

let me go ahead and say that it was a BAD idea to just build a dedicated AR in 22lr. this thing is likely to cost me more than a midrange 5.56 when all is said and done. in addition to the 200 or so on the bolt/barrel, i'm looking at another 300+ in brace/tube/handguard. Then i gotta add in the cost of the receivers, and parts kits... Still... it will be a snapshot in exactly what i wanted when i built it...

This is my rifle. There are many none like it, but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend.

waiting for my 9" cmmg barrel/bolt to get in. I've been looking for a good deal on the S&W, but i just haven't found one, especially since the pistol versions are apparently ultra rare
so yeah, i'll use some parts that i have laying around to build a suppressed pistol.

the shipping door at work broke in the open position the other day and the repair guys plugged the whole with 2 sheets of plywood they weren't taking back. Well, me and one of the women both put claims on the plywood and 2x4s. so we're splitting the stuff. and i'm building a pair of V-tac 9 hole barricades with mine.

So yeah, i'm gonna be slinging buckets of 22lr out of an ar at steel targets from behind a training wall, and i am SO glad to be out of detroit.
Saw a pistol version at Backwater in Wilmington yesterday if you’re still looking.

My Sample List order was waiting for me when I got home this afternoon.
The 1-6X24 has gone to its new home, and my new-to-me Meprolight M21 has taken up residence on the rifle.
Talk about sexy.......

Pictures to follow......

Love the 15-22, I put 25k through the stock 16" upper. Went ahead and picked up the Gemtech Integra integrally suppressed 15-22 upper. Threw a Frank Armory three position binary in it, and lets just say it always puts smiles on shooters faces!

Very nice!

Pardon the picture, the evening caught up with me before I realized how late it got.

The M21 never ceases to amaze me....

I ordered an RRA stand alone A4 style rear sight to replace the Troy. I'm trying to make it mirror my Saint as close as possible.

I thought about it and i guess i'm not as grumpy. i would have upgraded a pistol in pretty much the same way i'm building this one, and it might have cost more in the end. possibly not, but i'm not going to torture myself with the numbers. especially because if i started with a pistol i might wind up with more spare parts and want to build a new one...

I was hoping to have everything by today so i could build and shoot.. but i guess i'll have to wait until my next day off.

The RRA A4 rear sight arrived yesterday.

Now don't get me wrong, Rock River makes first rate gear, but their, unknown to you until charged shipping sucks ROYAL D!€£. The sight cost 120, shipping weight for the sight, cushioning paper inside, and the box was ONE pound even.......
To ship that 16 ounces cost me TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS.........

Imagine my surprise.........

What are these 15-22s going for now?

Wasn’t PSA around $400 recently?

Put another 500 through mine today. I run it pretty dry, so when I got home to clean it, I took off the upper and poured carbon like beach sand out of the lower. 😅

$375 ANIB

$375 ANIB

Wish he was closer, I want another to drop the tacticool22 FSB/M4 handguard on.

I just sold mine. Have owned it about a year and only had it out once.

Not everyone operates bro.

We run the pistol version a lot because it’s easy for kiddos to hold. Pending SBR form because it’s so fun.
