I bounce between shooting and plastic modeling, though I was a modeler before I was ever a serious shooter.
I started out a strict aircraft guy, only getting into armor in high school.
Heres a few creations:

Her exhaust, I scratch built this, the kit just had a slab sided hull, it had to have it, lol

The bustle, I used a moto tool and a grinding bit to make it look like it should

You might enjoy some of the Adam Savage videos then, a lot are about modeling as that is one of his jobs with working on movies etc

Great tank with the engine in the front to protect the crew.

I hear there is a secret tank round for it only used by Israeli army.

It is called the Bacon round just to send Arabs straight to hell.
 
My last finished model:
Its a what if , late model M4 Sherman, with a T26 heavy tank turret, theres too much to list as far whats in the final product, but I will NEVER use the Dragon M4A3E8 chassis as a base for another what if, just the hull and suspension is OVER a thousand pieces , 1 and three zeros......lol

Not as patient as I used to be, I'd love to have the time to get to the kits I have started, that way I can get to the unbuilt ones I have squirreled away

This beast is modeled after the actual aircraft, it resides on the Japanese side of MCAS Iwakuni Japan. It was the turn around point for morning runs during summer PT sessions lol

Awesome work. Have you thought about doing some tank models for the tank museum in Danville VA? They would probably love to have some of your models on display.
 
Those are great. That's always seemed like a fun hobby to me although I haven't ever tried it. I love the Tomcat.
 
Nice work. I used to build a crap ton of models. Have some somewhere, if I can find them I will post up some. You look OCD about details, same as I was.
