I see it as full of win.

An "influencer" has just influenced people to buy guns as art.
That will make a bunch of young people want guns to base their own art projects on.
And a bunch of wealthy people to one-up each other with custom guns.

Heck, some of them might even realize that buying some to shoot is fun too.

Almost bums me out I own a Benelli & a Sako.
Thankfully, Fabulous Beretta bought them both after mine were made.

Is that fancy black text near the muzzle “Fires without magazine”?
No one:

Benny Drama is the obnoxious one who went to the white house. This is jeffree star, who is a different "influencer".

whatever man/woman/person.
As long as they like guns, we got something we can talk about over beer. Looks like with the gear they're rocking, they can talk about some better toys than I can.

Apparently (s)he started out by carrying the bedazzled fake gun to scare away attackers, but fell into the hobby.

Jeffree Star is a weirdo, but normalizing gun ownership and recreational shooting is normalizing gun ownership and recreational shooting. If he vlogs driving a pink Ferrari to Beretta to visit their range and buy a custom 92, and a million people see that online, that's not bad for us. If even one percent of those people find their interest piqued in shooting or collecting, that's not bad for us. If he puts on a weird public persona because he's built a social media/music/cosmetics brand around being an androgynous glam guy/thing, whatever.

Let's not forget that the 80s metal scene was dominated by skinny dudes wearing lip gloss, makeup, and spandex...

It's really interesting to me that you say "not bad for us" Because I get your statement 100% on who "us" is. "Us" are not people who put on a weird public persona.

What's interesting to me is he and people like him are closer to "us" then this group of "them"

I gotta disagree with the underlined part.
We already have to deal with fudds telling us we don't need no high capacity magazines, and them poodle shooter rifles ain't good for nobody but criminals son... I do NOT want to have to deal with a new generation of kids trying to show off their cerakoted 92s. I like my 92 just fine, but there are much better guns made in the last 50 years.
Besides, the only dressed up 92 that was worth showing off was a taurus, almost 30 years ago

If I say my thoughts, I’d believe I’d be placed n CFF time out or banned.
So I’ll stick with, “Ewwww!”

Now THAT’s a finger gun.

sure, you say "ewwww"... but just how close were you looking at those pictures?

~1.5’, that’s my old man eye’s focal point with readers.
That thing’s creepy. If it walked by there’s a damn good chance I’d blurt something like, “What the hell is that thing?” loudly.

Hate to say it but if you get passed the covering he does seem to have some nice toys … 1911, B&T w/suppressor, Desert Eagle, Polaris side by side, etc. Sure he might be on the weird side to us on the outside but like Jboyette points out above he likely has more in common than far lefters … and probably would be funny if you can look thru thru weird.

If there were four of him, he could start a band.
Yep, Ziggy Stardust from 50 years or so back could be subject of this thread’s Grandpa … especially if Uncle Ted had some influence on him.

I. Just. Couldn't. Take a dude (assumed) dressed like that shooting. I could take @Jeppo and his sash but not that.
I met Pete Brownell when I was instructoring/rsoing at a fairly secret NRA event for the LGBTQA2S+ 5 or 6 years back.
They didn't think it was all that safe to advertise widely, and did a word-of-mouth "just show up" campaign. Somehow they still had pretty big turnout.
While that jeffree person would probably have been one of the more flamboyant folks, by no means would he have been the only dude in a dress. I definitely saw some people that made me just go "oh... uh... okay, let's go shoot".

Not my life, not my problems. They wanted to learn how to get guns in their lives safely. Like Pink Pistols says "armed gays don't get bashed". Whatever dude, or lady, or purple unicorn, or whatever.

My son knew immediately who this was. He says he has a cult like following from young girls and they speak of him on the regular. He was shocked (and pleased) to hear of his affection for firearms.

I'd be happy if everyone saw the usefulness and practicality of gun ownership and self protection regardless of what they look like. The world might just be a kinder and safer place if everyone knew that everyone else had the tools to protect themselves.

I could care less how someone else lives as long as they don't affect anyone else's ability to exercise their rights. I think some people may be hesitant to be a part of the gun culture because they are made to feel that they have to be a certain type of person, belong to a particular political group, or have the same equipment as everyone else. We should be welcoming to all who share our belief that free people should have the ability to actively protect themselves.

That person has a pretty cool and eclectic collection!
One thing that I hadn't considered before, is shooting in high heels, especially those with really thin heels in the back. I wonder how that would affect shooting.

Hah, I was wondering when I would see this show up somewhere like here after the wife showed me the other day.

I noticed his terrible grip too, but he has super long and probably fake nails - maybe he can't run a normal grip? IDK.

It's a good thing for the gun community, all things considered. Changing minds. It might bring people into the community who are in favor of hicap mag bans or whatever, but before that those people were in favor of worse. It's a win.
