I was 10 when this came to the "Grand" in what was then, Leaksville, NC. Two female cousins wanted to see the movie and wanted me to go along, since they had seen my earlier reactions to what was hyped to be "Horror". I almost wet my pants watching this movie. Hearing all the screams only made it funnier to me. How could anyone be afraid of someones rubber back bone being dragged along by a string that seemed to be pulled by someone fishing with a articulated lure of some sort. It looked like a caterpillar with rubber legs that moved by friction on the floor, some of which didn't move at all. The cerebral end had a couple tendons that looked like a pincer. BOO ! ...LMAO. Halfway through the movie Vincent Price stops it on screen and tells everyone in the theater that the Tingler is loose in THAT theater. I was praying that it was. I wanted to expose it for what it was and cut it's little string. I mean how stupid can people be? Here, see for yourself...

I was surprised that TCM even rated it high enough to actually air it.
