Being gay in men's figure skating isn't courageous, it's a requirement.I saw that. I just sat down with my country fried steak and fries, with gravy on the fries, turned on the tube just in time for the guy to wipe out.
"Oh he biffed it!"
So now it's got my attention. NBC proceeds to talk up the American Chen guy..gonna walk away with the Gold no problem, and then he proceeds to eat it, twice.
NBC is stunned, and obviously embarrassed about their (usual) know every-damn-thing before it happens.
Mens figure skating. Hmm. Look, I get it. It takes years of practice and dedication to do a quad-axle-double-whip-triple-fairy..or whatever they call that stuff..but just shut up already do your freakin job. But no..they all wanna proudly 'come out' and proclaim their gay-ness. NBC..lovin' this..eagerly shoves the phallic shaped microphone in their face for more-
"Oh he's so courageous and brave to be himself!"
Hey get this; We don't care! And we're also not surprised in the least. You think you're the first one? Men figure skating has always been a gay breeding ground. Any sport that primarily requires you to push around backwards with your butt leading the way and your hands flailing about is so obviously gay that your gay 'revelation' is only a surprise to you.
Just shut up already and do your freakin job.
