Figure I'd start a fun thread. So, not counting "copulatory" activities, fill in the blank..........
There is nothing better than__________________!

I'll start: There is nothing better than plucking a warm tomato off the vine and enjoying a tomato sandwich with a little mayo, salt and pepper on plain 'ol white bread!

Well you had a good start but you needed to finish the world's best sammich with the other ingredients in a BLT.

A good bowel movement...
Was gonna laugh emoji you, but damned if you ain't right. Lol!

Used to be either downhill skiing, playing guitar live onstage with a crowd of drunk people watching, or exiting aircraft while in flight.

Nowadays it's more like a cold beer on the boat with the missus, watching the sun set over the lake & blazing, day drinking, philosophizing & maybe catching supper with fam on my aunt's floating dock or swap the dock for 'round the fire at my cousin's place in CO.

It's funny, I never used to be a water person at all, but since dipping my my toes in the water, if you'll pardon that horrible pun, damned if being out on the water ain't just zen for me. 'N with the minimal development on these Corps of Engineers lakes, the scenery is amazing- huge stone bluffs, wooded hills, sizeable uninhabited islands & quiet, shaded tributaries. Just something about it mutes the cacophony between my ears.

Getting home from a day at work and being bowled over by this 35 lbs of joy as I walk in the door.....

Coffee mentioned several times. I love waking early before anyone else. I roasted the beans the night before and they have been curing overnight. I grind them (manually). I pour over a cup (or french press). I smell the aroma. That part is as good as drinking it. I sit down, open the bible, say a brief "I am here, I hope you are" or something similar, and see what kind of eternal romance happens. I feel my nervous system come alive. I sit on the porch and watch the sun come up, and the light across the street blink out. I take inventory of the upcoming day's scheduled activities. I hear the birds start their morning riot. I pick and eat 3-4 pods of raw okra. I fix a cup of coffee for my wife, and poke my head in the door and say hello to the most beautiful woman in the world, and thank her for being stupid enough to marry me.

If days just proceeded like waking up, life would be better.

It used to be my Mom's beef roast. She'd bake it with carrots and potatoes, and make gravy. I remember walking in the back door one evening before suppertime, age of maybe 15 or 16, thinking "I'll have to leave one day and I'm sure I'll miss this badly."

Speaking of banana puddings, my Aunt (Mom's sister) used to make me one for my birthday each year until she got too frail. I'd put her meringue up against the best in the South.
