Since the primary retention of the holster is on the light, it actually has a large list of compatible pistols they've tested with. The main pistols I'd be interested in owning besides my Glock 45 MOS.Wouldnāt that limit your carries to just the geometry of a handful of guns though?
Idk, I donāt have a large array of pistols, so maybe if you want to jump around with it that may be up your alley
Na this has been out for a while.I think this holster just came out a few months ago (Scott from MSP announced it a couple months ago at a class I took), so may not be a lot of reviews yet
Phlster also makes one too called the Floodlight: https://www.phlsterholsters.com/floodlight-2/
do you carry it with the extra mag attachment? or would that save any bulk?I have had the MSP Pro for TLR-1 since Aug 2022. As you would surmise, it is a great solution if you tend to rotate pistols but keep the same light. It is a bit bulky compared to my other holster styles fit specifically for a pistol or pistol/light combo. I reach for Tenicor or Superstition Holsters for my compacts/subcompacts. But the MSP Pro is for me ideal those rare times I choose to carry a full size pistol (eg G17, XDM 10mm) with light. So in short: Feels a bit bulky compared to other choices for compcts/subcompacts, but manageable and carries the full size pistols well. I hope this helps.
I had the same thought about bulk but found the sidecar to actually work better. I tried my 365xl in a JM Custom AIWB and found it to be more of a PITA than just carrying my G19.5 in a T1 Axis Elite. With the JM, now there is just a massive gap on my weak side where the sidecar could sit. Wish I just went with another T1.I carry without the extra mag (āsidecarā I suppose). It saves bulk IMHO. I find the holster to be a bit thicker profile anterior-posterior nonetheless comfortable and conceals a full size pistol with light and optic well on my 5ā9ā 190 lb frame. Of course, the smaller holsters I compare it to are fitted for smaller weapons, with either no light or the smaller TLR-7/a
This is great info, thanks for sharing! I was looking at the same holster (I also have the TLR-1HL), and was wondering if it felt as bulky as it looks. Something I'm sure I could get used to. I have holsters I can use for any Glocks I would choose to carry (45, 19, 17) with a TLR1 or TLR7A. Just thought about if I made the switch to a different platform as I'm sort of the Goldie Locks phase at the moment š¬I have had the MSP Pro for TLR-1 since Aug 2022. You're a legend, than you so much for the pictures, this helps A LOT! I think I may go for itMeasured from the top of the belt clips the MSP Pro sits deep, but above the belt the holster is similar height to the smaller one for my Macro
