Toyota cloud bases mapping

Who knows what about the cloud bases mapping Toyota now uses in the cars SUV and Trucks?
Sounds like they charge 15 bucks a month and use it for tracking you and the vehicle.

They set the vehicle up in demo mode letting you see what it is when you test drive then remove it and tell you that you need to pay monthly for it.
Kind of bait and switch.

What say you and is there anyone that pays for it.

Yes you can use your phone and Bluetooth but it is a pain having all the text and email notifications along with calls you do not want to answer. It exposes it to everyone with you.

I can see if it's a company car but even then the company would need to own and pay 100% of everything.

They just want your data. Phone tied to car. Anything coming through is their data now.

Yep I see that.
That is what I do not want.
Don't want to Bluetooth or plug up.
Only way to get maps is to pay 15 a month then they track the car not what is on your phone.
What happened to the old Garmin GPS system..... they screwed up.
Why a big screen if it is not usable from the factory.
