My background is HVAC but I made the switch to industrial maintenance a few years ago. I’ll start it off by posting a heat pump compressor change out I did a couple weeks ago, and a welding project I’m working on this very moment.

Electricians, show off your OCD wiring ability

Mechanics, lets see that big equipment you’re working on

Carpenters, lets see what you’re building

What are y’all doing today? 47ADF6DF-AF5A-4258-83F8-D86110630DA0.jpeg9344A044-1D07-41D5-B7CD-0CD61F049029.png

Awesome thread topic you've started here my friend. I'm looking forward to what will be posted here as we have quite a few members with very unique skills and abilities.

image2.jpgimage1.jpgimage0-3.jpgHaven't had to do to much to them yet, just assembly, but it's coming. Gota two 470G Excavators and a 950K dozer. Waiting on a 670G and a 870G excavator to show up to put them together also.

That is the hill they are taking down to redo the auxiliary spill well

One of our machines takes 8 sets of car brakes to stop it from rotating. Recently, one of our “technicians” replaced the brakes. I got called for a strange noise. This is what I find...

My first thought is "You can't be serious" but apparently you are. WTF?

.

That’s funny, I saw your post on my tablet, then went to the phone to find some.
How about a crane that takes your butt with the load 60’ up while driving?

We have steinbochs and jungheinrichs that are similar. The company we rent them from services them though. I know very little about them. I doubt ours go 60’.

The damage to the pad after 3-4 days of run time. Luckily the rotor damage should be manageable. Time will tell.

what say you on that last part @Tim ? I’ve spent the better part of the past decade being an ‘analyst’ working with programmers and the LOBs they support. Defining requirements, executing on test cases, working through go live bugs and process adjusting end users, ongoing admin support thereafter. Been thinking about a change that would be more in demand and flexible.

If by 'proficient' they mean "can turn on the machine and launch the development environment mostly without assistance", then, sure. =)

What you describe as the 'analyst' role is really more along the lines of what I actually do. If you have all of that figured out, the actual coding is easy peasy.

Beautiful work @Trevillian. I’ll be building a treehouse for my daughters in the next year or so. I’ll most definitely NOT be posting a picture of it on here 😬
Meh, it's solid and safe but I'd do it a little different now.

Keep in mind we built that off the cuff. The "bridge" runs to the porch off a 5k sq ft house. We built that as well...

Thankful it hasn't fallen over yet😂

Been rigging towers almost 4 decades. 2nd generation tower hand. Dad instilled in me that there’s a huge difference in a check chaser and a tradesman.

The plastic slide. I’ve been looking around but they are pricey. Was wondering if there was a supplier you knew of.
Customer provided. I'll be happy to ask.

I think the straight slide was under or at $200 but I have no idea on the other one.
