I've wanted one of these for about a decade, and I finally found one last month on my first solo outing after my surgery.
It's more or less complete, as new, in the box and was only missing one piece of the included parts.
As it sits in the box, there's the carbine, and bag full of accessories, to include one 30 and one 20 round magazine, correct Delta type sling, weapon lock, round count manual, owners manual, comic type maintenance manual, and a GIGANTIC Troy decal.
The only part missing from the bag is the Colt type carry handle scope base. But luckily, I have a real Colt carry handle scope base to take its place.
Anyhow, pictures to follow.

Good score on the Troy. I remember reading that they were going to make a whole line of retro inspired rifles, but don't remember hearing much about them after that.

PSA has H&R 723 style carbines in stock right now. They have pencil barrels and A1 uppers with no case deflector, which is correct for the earliest variation.

Throw an Aimpoint 2000 on top and tape/screw-in a handheld flashlight underneath and it'll be a Delta clone!

Those Aimpoints, if you can find them cost nearly as much as the rifle......

That's me on the bench with my 'tricked-out' 10/22 with grey Aimpoint 2000, circa 1985. About 7 years later I bought a I.M.I Galil AR that had a black Aimpoint 2000 with the screw-in 3X magnifier. I still have both!

Now get an AEM Can, a Gordon collar and an Aimpoint 5000 (2000 is more desired for BHD clone but 3k and 5k were used also)

I've been looking at the press this and others in the line got, and none of the gun writers even gave a line to the fact that the upper is of Canadian decent/design. They typed the C7, and it was used on their equivalent of the A2 rifle.

Decided to give this project its kick across the finish line.
Since Aimpoint 3000 and 5000s are damn near made of unobtanium I'll be placing a 9000sc 2 MOA model, vertically split rings, and as near the proper REDIMAG as I can obtain for the finish.

Standby for updates.....

Type A rifles have some NICE BHD setups

Gordon

Classic Delta

And a Blood Diamond if you’re feeling TIA

I checked these guys out a while back, they look sweet, but I don't have pockets that deep.....

Where did you get this and where can I find one??

I have been looking at the H&Rs a few times now...

Got the 9000sc 2moa on order, had to cannibalize the 30mm split rings from a BSA TW30RD I have.
One or two more things and she'll hopefully be looking the part

Made an attempt last Saturday to get the Aimpoint zeroed, but as fate would have it, Saturday was the opposite of Friday's range tranquility.
I showed up five minutes after opening and I had about ten people already ahead of me. And with every passing minute, more people showed up.
I fired 9 rounds total between this and my Mutant.
By one thirty, I'd had enough, packed up, paid my fees, and left.
I'll get it zeroed this coming Friday.....

Reactions: Me.
Thought I had any issues about licked, and that's when I noticed my groups alternating between nice tight clusters, and big open patterns.
Turned out to be the carry handle mount loosening under the recoil.
So, now its got to be removed, the carry handle channel, and base have to be degreased, and then bedded with blue loctite....
Then I'll be able to tweak the zero.

Degreased the mount and carry handle channel, and bedded the the mount to the channel with Permatex medium strength blue.
Next up is the Aimpoint and rings, as it appeared the 9000sc was getting pushed back toward the rear sight by the rifle cycling.

Well, consider the rings bedded, just secured them both with the same Permatex I used on the base.
They'll have the next four days to setup and cure.
Then, it's back to the races.......

Well, four days turned into four months.......
I braved the late morning deluge to get a short range trip in to get the Aimpoint zeroed after the wobble debacle in November.
To my surprise I didn't have to adjust anything.
This was fifty yards off a bag.20240323_123318.jpg
