Anyone bought a Trybe Defense upper from Optics Planet?
I saw OP is the exclusive distributor for Trybe. $237 for complete mlok upper with CH & BCG & free ship. I can't find much info on the company. I'm always skeptical of a company without a mailing address.

I bought an upper many years ago from Timberwolf Tactical. Ever heard of them? No? For good reason. Their products were crap, and they ended up going under. But then, before they closed shop, I figured why not give it a go since the upper was cheap. I ended up scavenging it for parts for other guns.

There's so many reputable manufacturers and distributors, I don't know that I would gamble on a product from an unknown company with no address when you can purchase a known quantity for not much more from a quality and reputable site.

It always been rumored Trybe is just BCA. Midway's Stoner line of uppers are BCA as well.
Same thing with combat armory, just a big distributor of BCA BCGs and G19 barrels.

There is no way on earth an upper and bcg for $237 from a company you've never heard of won't be a future regret.

I think they have a place in the gun world but it's slightly different for everyone. $200 complete uppers are for the cheapest-build-possible and truck gun builds for me

Hopefully they assemble uppers better than

That would make sense. BCA partnership with OP under a generic label.

I've actually got a couple BCA uppers. Unless you need to take the barrel off I've not had any issues. Looking forward to trying out the bufferless 9mm upper I just got from them. It certainly feels decent.

Pic? How much was it?
It's on sale right now, $209 that's why I couldn't resist.

Got it on my FM lower. Feels nice, if it runs well it's getting SBRed. Doing the bufferless conversion is easy and even with the recoil guide and spring being in the upper and socketing into that block on the back it's easy to assemble. That's not the factory muzzle dingus, I wanted something more obnoxious.

Thanks for info. I've been thinking about a side charging AR build.

I wonder if this fits a brn180 lower that brownells puts on sale for $90
