Has any one else tried this?
I got the recipe off a you tube suggested video.
Total time to make it is 7 or 8 minutes no it's not your Granny's fudge but I tried a couple of weeks ago add have been experimenting with it every since
Here's the first recipe.
One container canned vanilla frosting
One 16 oz jar of peanut butter,.creamy or crunchy your choice
Two schools of thought on the next step
You can just set both containers in the microwave for 1 minute each ,if you choose this method be careful the icing liquidized and is very hot. Then pour them in a bowl and stir with a.spoon till blended.
But I put both containers in in a bowl first then in the microwave for about minute 30 then blended them, messier this way but less chance of getting burned.
then line a.pan with wax paper an pour it in level it out and place in the fridge for two hours.
Its quick and easy. It's a little softer than regular fudge but good.
i used vanilla icing which was good, the milk chocolate was ok.
tonight batch was dark chocolate fudge and excellent.
So basically any flavor of canned icing you want to combine with peanut butter
next weeks batch cream cheese and peanut butter

I'm with Alton on this.
Now, how can you make decent fudge in a microwave? You can't. But you can make a darn nice fudge-like candy.
It's alright.
I prefer the method Alton uses earlier in the video. Real sugar and chocolate and butter cooked to a proper temperature. Small amount of HFCS to keep crystallization from forming.

I skip the nuts, and use Torani Raspberry syrup instead of HFCS. Excellent. The extra effort is worth it.
