This is the Jerry Seinfeld Netflix movie about the invention of Pop Tarts. As far as I know, it’s totally not rooted in actual history and is just for fun in true Seinfeld manner.

We watched it last night and enjoyed it. I’ll give it a 7.5/10. It’s not out to win and awards. It’s just good entertainment with minimal wokeness.

Yes, they passively make Chef Boyardie gay and parenting a child with another dude (played by the gay Lieutenant from Reno 911).

They also manage to spoof the January 6 thing but in a manner not mocking those who participated. It even perhaps gives a little credence to them.

Give it a watch. Safe for teens, even with some sexual innuendo. It’s done quickly and covertly enough to fly over the heads of 14-15 year olds.

I do t understand why this movie is getting so much negativity in critical reviews. It’s like the critics are hellbent on proving the old “do the opposite of what the critics do” thing.

There’s a cameo of Mad Men guys in the movie and people are apparently “mad” about that. Come on, man!

this flick was pure Seinfeld genius, tons of deep stuff plus plenty of slapstick
you gotta be on your toes to pick all of it up, or watch it a second time
mostly funnier if you're from the NYC area and between the ages of 55 and 75
one scene where he uses lots of his own classic cars as props

While I never got into Seinfeld the tv show, I like Jerry’s stuff. The shame of it is he’s already said this movie took so much effort to make that he’s not sure he’d ever do it again.
