Anybody here have one, or have looked at them in person? I think I want one just to put bolt/lever/pump guns in.

They do have a 10-gun Stack-On style locking cabinet for ~$120…but I’d prefer the 10-gun safe for ~$350, and wait until I found one of those No Exception coupons to snag it.

Looks like a decent, affordable safe.

I did notice that the digital keypad has a knob next to it, in addition to the door handle. The manual states that you enter the code, turn the knob and then use the handle to open the door. Seems like an extra step to me...

Go to Sportsman’s Warehouse … they have the Vital line which is about the same size but a little heavier built w/ if you can trust it a fire rating for $299.99. They even have a little larger 16 gun for $329.99.

@BigWaylon, did you know there is a Liberty Safe of Concord, over near Speedway Harley Davidson? Just recently saw it advertised.

I didn’t. I’ll check it out.

I looked at some of the other mentioned above and I don’t think they’re what I’m after. I want one that’s wide and not real deep. I’d like to get 8 (or at least 6-7) lined up across the back. The Union one looks like it would do it.

Heck, my other option is to just build a rack in a closet or the back of a closet door. Need to measure my ammo closet door tomorrow, and see if it’s solid or hollow. 🤣

With that thought there is always this, but probably more than you want to spend:

Here is the link to the Liberty Dealer in Concord. They are on Waddington Road near the BJ's.

Decided to go a different route. Still want to check out the safe at HF if they have them on display, as well as the Liberty dealer.

Bought some hollow door anchors, brackets and swivel casters today. Gonna build something to use on the back of my ammo closet door. I’ll attach it to the door, but let the casters take most of the weight.

Here’s what’s going on the rack…

Here’s how far I got on the project. It’s not attached to the door yet. Will build a top shelf with holes in it for the barrels to stick through, then cover both shelves with some kind of fleece/felt/etc.

Make sure to deburr all that corner bead looking material. Other wise it will act like a razor blade on you stocks and butt pads. Don't mess up that Browning stock.

Are the swivel casters going to work, since they have to swivel when changing direction? Looks like they might bind up with weight on them on carpet. Fixed casters mounted at a slight angle might roll better.

Would some magnetic barrel rests up top help hold them a little more secure?

I’ll find out sometime in the next couple days. The shelf will sit by itself up against the door, as shown the pics. So I thought I’d mark the door with them in that position (no weight pushing down on them) and assume they’ll work.

I thought about fixed, but with the arc they’d travel I didn’t think it would work.

Hollow door anchors are rated at 40# each, and I’ll have four attaching the lower shelf. Casters are rated at 80# each, so they should be good. I think I’m in the 65# ballpark for the 8 long guns…15# below a single caster or a pair of anchors by itself/themselves. So after doubling up those numbers, and combining casters & anchors, it shouldn’t be much of a load on any one piece.

BTW…I think I might put a layer of bubble wrap under the fleece material I bought, just as an extra cushion.

I don’t think that would work in this specific case. Neat idea though.

Got the bottom covered and mounted today. Probably get to the top piece Monday. Instead of continuing this thread, I’ll create one in the DIY section once I’m done.

Lmao. I thought you were saying that harbor freight was a union safe company.

I came in here thinking well alright. Let’s see how they’ve managed to keep unions out of their company.

New thread here if anybody wanted to see how it turning out. It’s functional, but it ain’t pretty. 😁
