Using a VPN

It will not let me use Proton VPN either, but I usually just sign out

No website should be able to tell if you are using a VPN. Most likely what is happening is that the site is blocking a swath of IP addresses and the VPN server you are using has assigned you one of those addresses. VPN software usually allows you to choose different servers and/or locations to connect to. Try to change your location/server/IP within the VPN software. Try to choose a US location if possible

They dn't care if you use a VPN. Cloudfare (which the hosts of the site use) blocks certain groups of IP addresses. If your vpn routes your traffic through those sites, you will be blocked. I never ever have a problem logging in from Iceland, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Germany, but am routinely blocked from Thailand, Kenya, Ukraine, Russia, Sweden, Brazil and Argentina. Pick your router. If you cannot, then get a VPN where you can.

Nordvpn is the best, period.

I use Norton’s VPN and have no problem.

I think companies that block all VPN access are like gun control people. Because a few people use it for nefarious purposes, no one can have one.

You know who else locks their doors? Criminals...[/sarc]

Right. Just because criminals can see common sense too doesn't mean I need to stop.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

We don't block VPN's but we do use Cloudflare. And Cloudflare maintains a naughty list of IPs used for nefarious purposes. Keep your VPN routed through a country without digital cooties and you'll be OK.
