Saw this yesterday morning and in the light of all the drama going on around us, and for many of us even in our own homes and families, this was one I needed to read twice.

In my opinion whatever we may have to go through now is less than nothing compared with the magnificent future God has planned for us. The whole creation is on tiptoe to see the wonderful sight of the sons of God coming into their own. The world of creation cannot as yet see reality, not because it chooses to be blind, but because in God’s purpose it has been so limited—yet it has been given hope. And the hope is that in the end the whole of created life will be rescued from the tyranny of change and decay, and have its share in that magnificent liberty which can only belong to the children of God!

Romans 8:18-21
from J.B. Philips translation of the New Testament

Feel free to post others that you like in this thread.
And just because you may or may not have been a big, fat meany on the internet last night doesn’t mean you can’t post here. ;)

I teach 8th grade boys Sunday School. I’ve had the same boys in 6th, 7th and 8th. Currently we have 7th & 8th combined just due to lower numbers attending.

I was “given” these verses back in junior high or high school by the guy that was my discipleship partner at the time. I have them made into a poster hanging in the classroom I use, and share them at least once a month with somebody.

9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.
10 With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments.
11 I have treasured Your word in my heart, So that I may not sin against You.

Psalm 119:9-11, NASB

I can’t really think of a better passage to share with that age group

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

John 10:28-29 KJV

My 2 favorites are:

Psalm111:1 - "Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation."

Matthew 6:1 - "Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward."
