Video: What Can You Do If a Mob Surrounds Your Car? Legally?

Good video. Short answer: if they’re pounding on your car, maneuvering slowly to attempt to extricate yourself from the situation is reasonable. When they break the windows with the intent of harming you or removing you from the car, it reaches the point of lethal force being justified. Side note, this is codified in NC statute as “castle doctrine” includes vehicles. Trying to remain measured in your response rather than going bowling would likely be a smart move legally.

One thing you should not do is get out of your car.

This. Once I let the first round go, I’m gonna be deaf af anyway, may as well sit there and wreak a little havoc, that way I don’t die tired.

I took a firearm law course and in 10% of the cases guilty was the charge. Even in a 100% legal use of force there is a chance of being found guilty is the point.
Lots of variables with this and all force situations.
But once they break the glass and violence is in play everyone should be able to preserve their life.

That questions depends on the location, hard to say generally.

When you choot, be sure to blow out yer own winders, that way you can say the mob broke 'em and you defended yerself.
I always carry a bag of broken glass to sprinkle inside. 🤓

The best defense against mobs surrounding and stopping your car is don’t be where the mobs are.

I know it’s not totally unavoidable but let’s be honest mobs like this are more likely to happen in Raleigh/Durham/Charlotte than they are to occur in Mount Airy/Bryson City/Wagram/Clinax etc etc

Zombies (the brain dead liberal type). They're everywhere!

Hide, run, fight. Well you cant hide but you can try and run (drive away) and then there is fight. I try and repeat the mantra every time I get behind the wheel that my vehicle mounted firearm is for the last defense only. I havent been in a mob situation but I have been and Im sure many of you have where you make a wrong turn and you are in the wrong place at possibly the wrong time and all the people on or in the street know it. This happened to me in Wilmington one time with the wife in the car. Glad I had a gat in the glove box especially when the other poor lost fool in front of me froze. And really we werent lost. Some Mensa candidate had closed the main bypass road around town to the beach and routed traffic thru the hood.

If its just me in the car? yeah, Ill drive slow, try to just roll through and be a good boy.

My kids in the car? Ima be checking out the anti-slip feature on the new truck because my kids lives > me going to jail.

Stuck on the road in a mob is NOT the time to have a car that one can't over ride the safety features. The Hybrid Escape i had would not roll over a curb from a stop. It had to be moving at a certain speed or it would not put the power to the road. It had it, just wouldn't apply it.

I'll be mad and upset when the dents start. When glass breaks, Mr Roadrage appears.
