I can't find the full text, but the two articles I've found say it's a ban on ALL semi-automatic pistols and rifles. Not mag restrictions, not feature restrictions. Literally the only pistol you'll be able to buy will be a revolver or a derringer.
It didn't seem to stop anyone before, but it seems Virginians need to march on their capital again.

Am I understanding this incorrectly?

I am reading this as two separate bills. Would they not be voted on separately?
Yeppers you are right. I was reading that off another site and grabbed the link. Surprised they don’t put it on one so it can be shot down and blame the R’s saying they shut down the money

Has Youngkin done anything positive for Virginia?
He said these bills are not needed.

Governor Glenn Youngkin signed 738 bills into law, offered substantive and technical amendments to 78 bills, and vetoed three bills, taking action on a total of 819 bills sent to his desk during the 2023 General Assembly Session.

We all celebrated when Bruen was decided, but since then several states have passed bills that openly defy it. I think the mag and semiautomatic bans will be overturned if we can get a case to SCOTUS before the makeup there changes.

If person were to focus on the bolded part and consider it for a bit it shows how fragile the house of cards is. Lose a justice or maybe they add 5 and it's game over for the consitiution meaning anything the framers intended. It'll be a "living and breathing" document, which transltes from leftist to It says whatever is politically expedient at the time.

The first break from tyranny was triggered by a lot less than now.

Never underestimate the power of the Republican party to f--- up an election.
Exactly and this is the result of registered republikans not showing up to vote.

I don't think either chamber has a supermajority so if Youngkin does veto, it should survive any override attempts.
