Bear with me, I'm not good at these things. I signed up for a VPN this morning and got it running. This site and log in worked fine. This afternoon, went to sign in here and got an error 1020 -access denied. Turned off VPN and signed in to write this. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

May be something on the backend of the site, because you’re using a different/strange IP. I wonder if turning on 2 factor for the site would fix it?
 
Probably wherever the VPN is routing through has been blocked here for past infractions, whether real or spam.

You can try selecting a different location and see if it works.
 
Yep admin can help unblock the ip your using or you can just route it through another location. I’ve had this happen numerous times.
 
I tried a vpn several months ago. This site and several others wouldn't load or function, so I cancelled during the 30 day free trial.
 
FWIW, I've been using a VPN for a couples years now and haven't had any issues. I can't help you because I know next to nothing about IT stuff. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Helpful I am.
 
What VPNs are you all using that is getting blocked? Just out of curiosity.
 
I can turn VPN off to sign in and then turn it back on and everything works normally. Is that what I have to do?
 
Update to this thread -Tried to turn it off and sign in then turn VPN on again, now when I go to any other page I get the same error 1020.:confused:
 
Thanks for your thoughts on this. I was hoping that a moderator might have an idea also.
