Had my Hitch mounted bike rack with bike in tow on the back of my little wind up car (Kia EV6) today and was on Gate city Blvd headed to the bike shop. Had just pulled up to a red light and a guy in a Dodge Durango SRT pulls up beside me and starts revving his engine.
who does that next to a car hauling a bike? How immature do you have to be?
I of course had to be the more mature driver and click over from Eco mode to Sport mode and teach him a lesson. Once the light turned green His engine was a lot quieter a car length in a half behind me. I only went up to 60 and let off the gas. He finally catches up and passes me then.
not only did he get embarrassed by my little EV but he also got beat by a bicycle 😅
Funny thing is I didn’t even give it all she had….

I've never grown out of racing, if we're beside each other at a red light, it's a race whether you know it or not.
I will admit, it was fun but this is really the first chance I have had since none of my prior cars had much punch.

Same, I just stoplight race now in slow vehicles up to the speed limit. I street raced pretty heavy 2004 through 2009 or so. Foxbody's are long gone, quickest thing now is the wife's explorer ST which surprises lots of muscle cars. AWD, 400hp and a 10 speed gets up to speed rather quickly.

I drive a 2009 Crown Vic, A ex Texas cop car. I get buttheads wanting to race at lights All the time.

Being old it is hard not To put the level to the metal.I just smile and wave. But one day watch out.

People are idiots, wanting to go fast in their grocery getters or jacked up trucks. Yes they’ll put a stupid engine in there since folks will buy them, but it’s the wrong toy.

The trick is to buy a car or bike that's so fast nobody wants to race you.

I didn’t even follow NASCAR and stock car racing, but growing up in Charlote I know the names of 80% of those faces.

Ralph Moody (Holman Moody) lived a few doors up right off Park Road from my best friend in 8th grade.

Very unassuming 1950’s brick ranch on an average sized suburban lot.
