I'm not sure why this show exists other than to piss me off and I try not to watch it but whenever I do I find something stupid to comment on. Today's boner at least from the prospective of I aint doing that is a "warden" wearing a Sig in a holster on the front of a load bearing vest with muzzle pointed at his junk. Whats wrong with on the hip or behind the hip bone? This guy was wearing so much gear that if he fell in the water he would certainly drown. And then with all the questionable stuff they do anyway to what appear to be honest people, he lets a guy off with 4 prior Michigan wildlife violations with a minor infraction ticket for having a shotgun loaded before legal waterfowl hunting hrs. Oy vey!

priors aside since we don't know what those were, and there was probably no real evidence of a crime...
who was the victim in this case?

Victimless crime I guess like smoking dope. Priors were for similar infractions, loaded gun before legal light, taking wildlife illegally, etc. I know I shouldnt watch the show. It just raises my BP and makes me come on here and rant.

North woods law was filmed primarily in the area I grew up. The laws are MUCH different in Maine...for example- see a dog chasing a deer? Law says shoot it on sight.

Here, they would put you in prison for that.

Moral of the story, don't watch North woods law.

I get the feeling you ain't fond of Game Wardens.

Never had a reason to be fond or not fond. Only interaction I ever had was with one ex NC Wildlife officer who did not speak highly of the organization and that is an understatement. And one in Montana who could have been a male model or Chipendale and made a lot more money. He was a nice guy but you could tell he would be not be a "game warden" as soon as he could find another job. Jobs are hard to come by in Montana.

Back to Wardens or more specifically wildlife officers or whatever they are called in Michigan, did a little research and found out , Game "wardens" could carry out warrentless searches of private property in that state. No other state LEO agency had the same "right". In 2021 Michigan HB 4315 was introduced to correct that but I cant find if it was passed and signed into law. Got a bud whose son works in Michigan as a federal employee and anything to do with a gun or hunting is a PITA.
