It broke.. Second time out box
I'm sure they warranty it.but I have no idea how to break it down..I'm sure it's the sear.. hammer following the slide. Want lock back ..any suggestions?

Hammer following the slide and won't lock back sounds like two different problems... unless the slide never goes back far enough to engage the sear or lock the slide. This is the kind of 1911 that @John Travis doesn't like to mess with. But I would like to know his thinking if you were having these problems with a vintage Colt.

Did you find these problems by firing the gun, or by operating the slide manually?

It probably breaks down just like any 1911. John has some good videos on takedown.

I wish the OP would answer John's questions so we can absorb a bit more of his knowledge.
The OP hasn’t been back since asking for help.
 
I think that means the OP doesn't think there is any distinction between the hammer following the slide when he fires the gun, verses when he releases the slide to chamber a round.

Mebbe he did one. Mebbe he did t'other. Mebbe he did both.
