We dodged the bullet - again!

I've always thought that a Carrington level solar flare/CME would be the most likely cause of a real SHTF event because I know we dodged one back in 2012 and the earth was overdue for another. Well it seems we dodged the bullet again on March 13 2023, exactly 2 weeks ago. Supposedly this one was the strongest ever recorded, but like in 2012 the earth happened to be on the opposite side of the sun from the CME. Even so it affected us a little. One of these days we're going to find out just how fragile our technology dependent society is.

We need to pay more taxes and give up freedoms to prevent solar flares.

I saw the news reports of the massive sun spots and wondered. Of course these reports are buried in all the noise about all the other crap going on.

I personally also feel that the disruptor event is going to be extraterrestrial, as in CME or meteor strike. And I'm not so sure that the powers that be don't already know.
