How is a handgun that accepts a drum magazine a WMD?
I mean, can't any glock 17/19 take a glock drum magazine?
WTF am I missing?

WMD charges are dumb. But after seeing the rest of the charges(rape, firearm possession by a felon), I’m ok with it on the one with the other charges

The pistol was an unregistered fully automatic pistol. The writer fixated on the magazine. WNCT 9 is a house of liberal morons. We haven't watched them in 20 years

NC has weirdly written laws and most NFA items fall under the "Weapon of mass death and destruction" rating. Suppressors are as well and like machine guns, fine as long as you have the ATF's grace.

Thanks. The WNCT article doesn't mention automatic at all that I could see.
If it had a Glock Switch, then I can understand the charge. But a drum magazine, WTAF?

It didn't. They rehash/rewrite Associated Press propaganda. The charge isn't for the drum, there is nothing in NC that limits magazine capacity (but WNCT is pushing anti-2A propaganda for the high-cap magazine bans), it's for the unregistered automatic pistol.
