For everyday land forecast Weather Underground and Windy is really all I use. When some tropical weather starts churning up I get my info from Mike's Weather Page/Spaghetti Models, Tropical Tidbits, and NOAA.
I use 5 different apps to try to forecast weather offshore but that is a little different. For just simple weather updates WUnderground or the Weather Channel app will do just fine. I don't support the Weather Channel after all the BS they spew before/during/after hurricanes.
Honestly, the Google app on my phone. It seems to be fairly accurate for real time and hourly predictions for the day and fairly reliable in terms of 10 day trends.
Weather Underground. And I used to be in the weather bidness. But you gotta start watching four or five days ahead of the day you’re interested in, and triangulate with a couple of other sources.
If you select a town or site, it will give a tailored forecast for that area. It's usually very accurate, and err's on the side of caution when in doubt (in other words it might say light rain and it turns out clear.) I like the super simple "Golf Ball" ratings:
AccuWeather and MyRadar are both pretty accurate. On Facebook the following group does a great job at weather, sounds and other events in central nc. Central NC Weather Events Hazards.
