   I know that I'm not going to get a refund for the life membership
   that I paid for, in good faith before my ship got sold out from under me.

I asked the same thing at NCGO- Second Media (Phillip) answered my post with "your request has been rejected".

I then followed up on this and was told to shut up by some of the Mods. I didn't and requested again that my posts be removed and I was perma-banned.

I've not lost any sleep about this, but as a long time supporter and active member, I'd have expected better treatment.

Money makes people do odd things...

naw once it's typed it's on the net there's a billion pictures on the internet that originally was someone's authentic work that is until someone sees it and right clicks lol just playing devils advocate how many people have been fired or even arrested for something they posted on their own facebook? If they delete your membership they are losing money. Why would they do that, just to keep from pissing you off? From their POV that's just gravy.

Clearly that's true but that's different from saying the forum owner "owns" the posting.

Yeah i understand they might eventually after they resupply membership. They use the member count for advertising pricing

I still go "over there" from time to time. It's a fascinating perspective of group dynamics and sociology. Most of the old-timers are here now, and the mid-range folks over there are starting to feel their oats and exercise some muscle. It's a matter of time until that place is just a shell of its former self.

How are you removing them? Mine no longer has the edit or delete option. If you found a way, let me know and I'll delete more of mine.

Well, unfortunately, you have to delete one by one.
Its easy though, BUT you cant delete threads that have been locked.

You also can't delete any threads that you started from what I've found. Plus some of the really old stuff only has "Report" listed now. I deleted everything of mine that I could. Ended up with something like 600 posts remaining. Now I'm going back through those and editing them to remove the content.

Should get a drop down of stuff, look for 'my content' or something like that, that'll bring up a list of your posts
click on one
under your post you'll have option, middle is 'delete'
it'll then ask for a reason youre deleting, just leave it blankand hit delete

It works. Ive done at least 20 this morning already,about to do another dozen.

So far Ive done about 800 posts.
it doesnt take too much time, but I wish there was a quicker way to just mass purge

At NCGO they did say they could cancel our memberships and anonymize our posts. I requested that. I seem to have received it.

I was angry at first for what seemed like a sellout to an antigun entity but then I realized how many pro 2nd forums they owned and decided the best thing to do was start telling everyone who owned their favorite forums in the hopes people will stop using them.

HMP, that is what I was doing, and now I do not have the options. I just posted over there asking the new owners why I can no longer edit or delete to remove personal information. I'll see what they say. I tried to use snip it and post a picture here but it does not work.
