Just picked up a new ( to me) rifle in a trade. I hemmed & hawed a couple days prior to making the deal, then I just did it.
Where I screwed up is getting a rifle that now needs a scope and is a caliber I don’t load for. I gotta buy a set of die’s for 6.5 Creedmoor. Luckily I picked up 36 fired cases at the range last week. Gotta reload because ammo for this girl is ‘spensive!!
The rifle is a CVA Cascade apparently manufactured by Bergara in Spain.
I’ll let ya know how it shoots later next week.

Did…did….the PO mount and zero that scope?……
Yeah something funny there. If I'm not mistaken I think the windage turret is on top, and the elevation turret to the left.
I believe that scope needs to rotate 90 degrees to the right.

I have 3 6.5 Creeds. I need to sell one or maybe trade for a .308 simply because I don't have a .308 presently. The Creed is easy to load for and very accurate. 140 class bullets and H4350 and you are good to go. I loaded up some 140 Speer Hot-Cor last fall for deer and they did well. For target I shoot 140 VLD's out to 600. My buddy shoots 123 grain for deer and they seem to work too but not as accurate as the heavier higher BC bullets. The problem now is getting the components. It's a fun caliber and you'll enjoy it. Nice rifle.

depends on the reticle. I have a few optics mounted the same way, as I am left handed and like my windage on the left side.

Good eye! You’re absolutely correct. The guy I got it from mounted the scope to try to sweeten the deal but failed because it’s a no brand scope. I’ll be mounting a SWFA 10x42 Milford scope prior to hitting the range Monday.

While this is my first 6.5 Creedmoor it’s not my first draw in the 6.5mm rodeo. I have been reloading for .264 Win Mag for 49 years. I have used every weight bullet from 85 to 160 grains. I presently have a couple hundred 85 grainers & a hundred 90s as well as some 100 grainers. The only game I hunt now is feral hogs so for the most part this rifle will just punch paper.
Monday she gets two boxes of factory ammo to break her in. Then load development begins.
