My daughter developed a “sinus infection” last Saturday. No biggie, she gets them, we kept her home. I started to develop sinus issues on Tuesday. Not a huge deal, I get them twice a year like clockwork. By yesterday it progressed and got worse. While FaceTiming my doctor I realized my smell/taste was gone. I had a rapid test and it was positive. Still felling crappy I load up on vitamin c, d, and zinc. Last night I had blisters in my throat and upper mouth. By this morning the blisters were gone but my lungs were rattling somewhat. My doctor on call, called me to see if I needed anything. I explained what was going on and he urged me to go to the ER. After going I was told by the nurse they do the monoclonal treatment but were out of them. The doctor came in and examined me and told me that they had two doses they are required to keep for staff who contract it and he couldn’t in good consciousness allow me to not have it. I received the treatment around 3 this evening, by 5:50 I feel quite a bit better. We will see how it goes.
