What all purpose / survival platform?

10-4…

Was just looking at a happy medium between, say, one of my 10.3 setups and an 18”-20” rig. As much as my gut would say, “take one of the shortys”, my mind says, “yeah…the 14.5 is gonna be an all-around better choice”.
I'm in this camp. 14.5 seems like the best middle ground for me. I can get consistent hits out to 500yd on a 6" plate and hopefully would be able to stuff the 11.3 upper in the bag. I've also got the flip up irons with the LVPO just in case

Just to survive and live until things get normal or somewhat normal again a 10/22 suppressed for me.

If I am having to fight then a suppressed 5.56

But I like a backup either way I would include a Tavor.

If it came down to one long gun and one long gun only it would be a 12 gauge pump. Yes it's heavy and carrying plenty of ammo is heavy. But it's the most versatile shooter ever made. It works for defensive purposes or food acquisition it can be loaded from bird shot to single projectile slugs. Your shells could be easily reloaded in the field if need be and wouldn't even require actual projectiles. Throw some sticks and rocks in there if it fits it will shoot.
