bled a lot.
Slit my finger open a little with a razor

Had check engine light come on last week on my '99 Sable, found a broken vacuum line near the firewall that feeds the EVAP system.
I need to hire you to hunt down the problem with mine. I just clear the code about 3 days before I go get it inspected, then ride around the rest of the year with the light on.

Another CFF member had evap issue, turned out to be a squirrel chewed up a hose near the gas tank. Start with the basics, trace the vacuum lines, reseat the power connection. Get a used sensor from LKQ and swap it out.

New speakers in the MR2 to replace door panel ones
Went from 5.25 to 6.5

I got a couple of lathe parts in. First is a replacement drill chuck for the tailstock. This is one is build on a solid shank instead of the slip fit one on the chuck that came from Grizzly. The Grizzly one wobbled on it's own and I didn't trust it to hold anything steady. Not good. The new one is mounted in the tailstock in the pic.

I also got a rotary union that I plan on using with my flood coolant setup. I'm going to rig up a a bore flushing system for when I chamber barrels. This this will let me inject the fluid through the muzzle end of the barrel while I'm cambering...while the lathe is spinning. It'll be very easy with zero issues based on the youtube videos I watched. The rotary is the shiny thing on top of the tailstock.

Pulled the transmission to change the fluid although it is "non-serviceable". The fluid was black. Doing a little research I've read that John Deere requested Tuff Torq use10W30 oil in them. Tuff Torq says they don't need servicing but, if you insist, they should be serviced at 50 hours and 200 hours and recommend 5W50. Sounds contrary to not needing serviced and "non-serviceable." They even make rebuild kits for them. These are on the lower end of the John Deere line but it seems John Deere would rather sell you a $900 transmission where Tuff Torq says if you insist, service at these intervals.

I pulled mine from my ancient L100, thinking it surely needed service.

It was pristine.

Yeah, it's needed out here for sure. Getting ready to aerate and put down another 200 pounds of seed after the rain. We only have like 6 trees, so it's a buttload of grass to mow.
Let start by saying "I hate mowing grass."

Trees just make it worse. They make mowing into an obstacle course.

As a kid it took 6 hours to push mow my dad's place. The mower had a bag that had to be emptied every two trips across the front yard. He didn't buy a rider until he and mom were the only two at the house. He's had a rider ever since. Remember "I hate mowing grass."

All grass is is a domesticated weed.

Pulled the plastic off YZ-250, washed it down, rebuilt the carb, new plastic’s going on. I’m going to sell my rocket ship :(

A commercial zero turn and Zeon Zoysia helps a lot! It chokes out weeds, doesn’t take long to mow, and mowing’s only needed every couple months.

Wild how small they look when you take off the plastics and subframe

What Happens If You Jump Out Of A Tesla While In …:

My car has the summon feature. It can drive itself to me from the parking lot. I also use sometimes when I park. I get super close to a parking spot wall then I get out of the car and press a button to make it reverse in to give me space from rogue doors hitting the side.

From my app but the car is plugged in.

This!

I have several domesticated weeds in my yard. Mowing is contemplative time to me so I don’t mind. But I’ve got an ancient L100 that I keep tuned up and refurbished so it’s mostly riding.

About to replace the front control arms... the zip ties just aren’t holding like they once did.

Tell me more about this!

I have to mow mine almost twice a week.
It’s a summer grass (brown in winter) and can’t be seeded, so it’s expensive sod, or labor intensive via plugging. Once established it’s like walking on a thick sponge. Since it grows slow, it repairs slow and doesn’t handle dog piss. We put Zeon in the front yard and Empire in the back, the Empire needs regular mowing, it grows fast like Bermuda.

We had the driveway asphalted & filled in the side with dirt, I’m filling it in.

Basic, but im pleased.
I had been using a Lowe's 5 gal bucket (which is 12" dia at the top) for my random pieces of wood, dowels, some angled aluminum and flat stock etc
It was full.

So I got some ply recently

Today I made a 15x15x15 box to hold the wood.
If I go on top area only, the bucket would be 113sq/in, the box would be 225
The bucket is a little shorter than the box, but I dont remember height right now.

Anyway, full bucket = just over half of the box. I had gotten some 2x6 and 2x8 from a board member last summer who is/was building a home and posted free scrap wood. Added that to the bucket (like 8 pieces of varying length), and it's STILL not full.

Again, it's basic, but Im please to have more space and be better organized/easier to access the wood pieces when doing a project

Pulled the battery out of my VMAX today to give it a charge. This battery isn't that old and I normally fire the bike up once a week in the winter months to heat up the oil and such but I neglected to do so this year on a regular weekly schedule.

It charged back up with a Battery Tender in about 3 hours. So I'm good to go now and am looking forward to getting it out on the road and flipping the bird to the Corona Nazis.:D

My bike has a tender connection hanging out from behind a fairing. I just keep it plugged in. The connector is easy to install and pretty cheap.

Yep. I've had a remote connector on all of my bikes over the years. I just haven't installed one on this bike yet.

new update released to me last night. I already have autopilot that can change lanes, speed up and slow down, drive itself. My car has been able to see colors of stop lights and stop signs for months but the feature hasn’t been enabled. I received the beta last night.

We moved my wife's car out to the neighbor's unoccupied garage in order to have the whole place free for working out since all the gyms have closed.

Now I have to try hard to concentrate on my workout instead of cleaning up and straightening.

Got an older generator (1999) from my sister in-laws boyfriend. He left it on the back porch near the edge where rain could get to it and then moved it in front of his barn (outside exposed to the elements). He let me have it. 10hp Tecumseh on it. I knew the carb was shot. Sprayed a little starting fluid in it just to see if it would crank before spending money on it. It did. Took the carb off and looked in it. 1/3 of the bottom was nothing but nasty dried powdery stuff. Rebuild kit was $15 on top of the good cleaning. New chinesium one was $16 and included a fuel filter on Amazon. Ordered the one from Amazon and threw the other one in the trash. New one came in. Put it on and changed the oil. Oil was black. Sprayed some starting fluid in it and it would not crank. Low oil light flickering when trying to start it. Disconnected the low oil switch and it fired up. Looking online it seems others have had problems with this switch going out after an oil change. Had to order an air filter housing screw for it that came in today. Working late so it will be tomorrow before I can work on it some more. Will fire it up tomorrow and check to make sure the electrical outputs work. If so I'll order a low oil switch off of ebay instead of putting a wheel kit on it like I planned. Took the motor off the frame this past weekend and sanded and painted it. I'm sure this is nothing to some of you guys but the older I'm getting the more stuff I want to try to fix myself.

Replaced the carburetor on my Craftsman mulching mower, circa 1991. I have replaced the needle and seat over the years. Cleaned the old one but would not run, it is sealed so not worth the time to get inside it. Put a Tecumseh generic on it and it runs like a top now, hope to get another 29 years on it. ;) It was the first mulching mower Sears sold, made by MTD.
