What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

To me ... the N frame 27 while a little larger is more classy looking than the L frame 586/686.

Is there even a turn mark on the cylinder?
I cannot get good pictures because of the nickel finish. Very faint turn line. I'd rate the gun at about 98%.

I've had a few things waiting on me over at my buddy's place in Katy. I've got FFL's closer but he's a long time close friend. So, yesterday I went over for a visit, some lunch, and to pick up a few things.
OK, some more better pictures of the Model 27-2. I think the gun has been fired since it left the factory, if so, not much. The handling marks on the grips are the only thing that I can find wrong with it.

To me, the best thing about a Model 27 is the checkered top strap.

When Ruger introduced their Wrangler single action rimfire revolver, I wanted one. Then, Ruger failed to deliver them in any numbers and after a while, I lost interest. My buddy had a Cimerron Plinkerton. The price was right so, I brought it home.

Can’t live in The Lone Star State without having a couple single actions in the stable ... when’s the Peace Maker coming?

No Peacemaker but I have a couple of Single Action Army Colts and a Great Western Colt clone.

The 1917 was used in the first Gulf War by Navy boarding parties, especially on LP tankers. I remember reading about their use when I was in middle school, and since then I was hooked...........

If you all will pardon my sacrilege, all I ever wanted to be was a Marine (which I unashamedly am, completely to the bone), or a battleship sailor. What I am, I'm proud of, what I couldn't be is only because they were retired before I could sign my own name on the dotted line.

I got a care package from Midway today. A die set for 303 British, a Hornady 303 shellholder for my case trimmer, another turret for my Lee press, a Lee guided decapper rod for 35 cal, and one for 45. And a 100 piece box of .312 bullets.

NICE

Finally got some Apex parts in the mail the other day. Installed the 2-dot sear in my shield, they claim 2lb reduction in pull weight, I’d say that’s pretty accurate. Nice improvement without being anywhere close to too light. For $35, it’s tough to beat the value!

I ordered an electronic scale with a counting feature, for weighing and counting brass. Up to 16 pounds, 0.0005 pound resolution.

I sold a couple of WWI swords last year. Probably should have saved them.
For protesters and such.

There can be only one.

When my sister in law pulled up in my driveway in a new Highlander, she asked me what I thought. I told her it was nice, but she was going to have to take it back. When she asked why, I told her, "There's already one in town."

Right. Over. Her. Head.
