What kind of cat is this hanging around my chicken coop? (Picture heavy)

Found a hole dug just outside my henhouse today. Seems the buried chicken wire did its job. It didn't get in.
Is this just a feral bob-tailed cat or something else?

A whompass cat. My grandmother use to say the only difference between a cat and a whompass cat is that the whompass cat has a red butthole.

Good pictures! They make a beautiful mount. Though you may have to stick it in the freezer till season comes around again. In all my time spent outdoors I have only seen a couple in the wild and just fleeting glances. Friend shot one while we were duck hunting on John's River. Was swimming across the river with a squirrel in it's mouth.

All I ever seem to catch are possums, raccoons and skunks! We got plenty of them wandering around the property as well.
