What to build

So.... I have a stripped lower, tossing around the idea of building a m16a2 or a m4a1...
Thing is, I have a 10.5" pistol and feel like the m4 build would make one of the two pointless
And I have a 20" ar10 and feel like having 2 20" AR's would be ehhhh as well.

No 300, costs too much to shoot and I can't afford a can.

I hear ya, I got a lower Im trying to decide a pistol or a truck rifle. Decisions, decisions, lol .

I thought about a dmr, but that adds to reloading for another caliber. More expensive build, optics.
